Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, buttered peas, gravy,
hot buns with butter, milk and coffee with apple

Christmas at Winona
Christmas Eve at Winona was a very happy one,
The girls ah came down to the living room and
with their very best manners. We had guests (that's
what the manners were for.) The freshmen girls put
on a play for the benefit of the guests and the girls.
Mrs. Weigel ami Mrs. Sanders were in charge of
the entertainment. The girls were kept in suspense
a long time waiting for old Santa, but finally the
old fellow came. You could hear him a mile off. Af
ter he gave out the presents, everybody was happy.

Auto Mechanics Visit Salem
The auto mechanics went to Salem on an educa
tional trip. First they went to the National Batterv
factory in West Salem. They went through the place
and found out how a batteiy is put together and
how one is repaired. Then they went to see the
Ford dealer at the Valley Motor company. This
firm buys and sells Fords. We learned a great deal
from this visit.
