all-dancing parties had fun this time for there were
several forms of amusement. No “wallflowers” at
this party.
One-half of the gymnasium was used for playing
games, and the other half for dancing. Music was
furnished by a fourpiece orchestra. Table games
were played on the stage.
Decorations were harness, baled hay, cornstocks,
and sacks of grain, complete with two calves, pigs,
and chickens.
Notes from the Ag Class
Pruning of the peach orchard is finished and the
boys are now working on the apple trees. Most of
this pruning consists of heading back the tops of
the trees as the trees are too tall to either pick or
spray efficiently.
Classwork recently, besides pruning, has consisted
of study and practice in culling laying hens.
Six of the boys have fattening pig projects, three
have calf projects, one a dairy cow project, and the
Ag class has charge of 50 hens in the small poultry
house.
Christmas Program
The third grade presented a lovely program on
December 22 in the auditorium. The program told
the Christmas story of the birth of Christ.

house for three weeks. Each girl has a turn at
each duty such as cook, chore girl, housekeeper,
and hostess.
The senior girls are enjoying this experience and
have shown cooperative spirit which makes the
plan run smoothly. Mrs. Cronk is sponsor of
