< H O M E R O O M > K lamath : Their are eight members in the Klamath homeroom. Their officers are: President, Elnathan Davis; Vice-President, Wilma Barkley; Secretary-Treasurer, Edith Sisson. They have been working on the Survey Course and plan to start a map just as soon as the material arrives. W arm S prings : The Warm Springs homeroom elected the following for their officers: President, Inez Stacona; Vice-President, Ruth Danzuka; Secretary, Bessie Mckinley; Reporter, Ernest Spencer. F ort H all : The officers of the Fort Hall home room are: President Helen George, and Secretary, Agnes Appeny. Both are students of last year and are getting along nicely in their new posi tions. This group has been studying the questions of the Survey Course and have all the answers from the Reservation superintendent. They have made plans for theyear but they need the approv al of Mr. Jackson before they can go ahead with them. C olville N o . I: The Colville homeroom No. 1 has been gathering information about the dif- erent Indians of the U.S. They are using indi vidual maps and placing the different reservations upon them. They elected the following for their officers: President, Pete George; Vice-President, Tom Carson, and Secretary, Rose Mary Edwards. B lackfeet : The Blackfeet wrote to their agen cy for information; each member took a different subject. Their officers are: President, Robert Sanderville; Vice-President, Gertrude Hall, and Secretary, Florence Red Fox. U matilla : The officers of the Umatilla home room are: President, Anna Miles; Vice-President, Edith Kenine; Secretary, Cecelia Charley, and Alfred Parr, Reporter. They have started another map because their old one was sent away. C rows -C heyennes : The Crows and Cheyennes have not yet elected their officers but they have been busy studying about their reservation for the benefit of the new students. They have made maps and have been study ing about the Indians in other parts of the coun try and comparing them with the resources of the Crows and Cheyennes. G ros V entre : The officers of the Gros Ventre homeroom are: President, Marie Mount; Sec retary, Ramona Phares. They have been study ing the history of their reservation. They follow a program and have certain things to do on every day of the week. F lathead : The Flatheads have been studying the law and order of their reservation for the benefit of new members of their homeroom. The following were elected as officers: President, Johnny Plouffe, and secretary Alice Martin. S kokomish : Some of the Skokomish group went to Salem to the State Library to get informa tion on ancient customs and housings of their res ervation. The boys are making miniature canoes of those used on the reservation years ago. Their officers are: President, Warren Allen; Vice-Pres ident, Larry Byrd; Secretary, PMith Butler. C olville N o . II: The Colville homeroom has been collecting information on the allotment sys tem. They also have found the population of the Indians in the United States and are now draw ing a map of the U.S. and are placing the differ ent reservations upon it. C alifornia : The old members of the California homeroom have been drawing a miniature map of their reservation in their notebooks while the new members have been working on the covers of their notebooks. Much valuable information was obtained when Mr. Myers, extension agent from Northern California, visited them. T ulalip N o . I: The Tulalip No. 1 group have been busy studying the Constitution and By-Laws of their reservation, and Indians at Work. They have also elected their officers. They are as fol lows: President, Henry Cross; Vice-President, Wilfred Buber, and Secretary, Charles Williams. T ulalip N o . 2: The Tulalip No. 2 have elected their officers. This group has been reading the “Habitsof Fish,” as their state and reservation is noted for its fishing possibilities. During the past week this class has discussed the growth and use of garden plants. New Employees Miss Gladys Clark taught at Bismark, North Dakota until the school closed. Then she went to Macy, Nebraska, which is on the Omaha In dian Reservation. From Macy, Miss Clark came here and is now teaching Social Science classes. In Brewer hall we have as an assistant, Miss Ruth Myers, who worked at Corvallis as a matron before she came here. In Winona hall we have a new matron, Miss Viola Scholtz.who worked in the Teachers Club before coming to Winona hall'
