q p H E N onpariel society had an excellent debate
at their last m eeting, M onday, Nov. 7. W e
discussed our plans for th e n e x t m eeting w hich
is to be a ‘professor quizz p ro g ra m .’ Mrs. Jackson
suggested th a t we 'p la n our program for the
whole sem ester. T h e m eeting closed w ith songs
^nd yells.
THE G irl scouts m et on M onday evening, Oct.
31, w ith a large attendance and m uch club
spirit in the realization th a t they are striving to
m ake this year one of the most active in Chemawa
G irl scout history.
F o u r patrols have been organized, the leaders
of w hich are: R osanna Stacona, Fleda Foster,
T helm a Shane, and B etty A rth u r. A ssistant
leaders are: Violet M urphy, A gnesS k ah an , Doris
Ingaw anup, and Barbara W hitelaw . N am es for
th e patrols have not yet been decided upon. N ov­
em ber 2nd has been scheduled as the m eeting for
T enderfoot Tests; T hey will be able, as soon as
these tests are passed, to have a rall^ at C hem a­
wa to w hich G irl scouts from neighboring tow ns
will be invited. M oney m aking schemes have
been discussed and knot tying has been practiced
in preparation for the event.
'T h is year the troop is to keep a log or scrap­
book w hich, d u rin g th e m aking, will be in charge
of G ladys Foster, troop scribe.
McBride Hall Enjoys Party
QN the evening of the 21st, the little girls had
a party at McBride H all. T he program ,
was given by th e small children as follows: Song
by Dora T om ; T ap dance by E ucille H evaw ah;
Song and dance num ber by Rose Paul, M ary
A nn G reenlose, E leanor Charley, and E th e l
Jam es; Dance by Betsy E ou Brisboise; Solo by
Rose M ary Scott. T he guests were greeted by
our w itch, Phylis M iller. Mrs. D ane’s and
Mrs. C ro n k ’s classes m ade the decorations
w hich were enjoyed by the girls.
T he older girls had th e ir party a week later
and games were enjoyed by everyone. Mrs.
Dane told fortunes in H allow een fashion. T his

Q uintasket; Duet hy M arcella H e itn e r and her
M other; Song by R u th Charley, Isabel F inley
