The Oregon Statesman: “ The Indians, like
wise a Salem team ,’’ are expected to have the
full support of Salem basketball fans in th eir
effort to win the state title, as they played a
hard clean type of basketball throughout the
district tournam ent, and won the respect of
even Salem high rooters by their good sports
manship. This team is coached by Reginald
Downie.
Fifteen Years Ago
M r. and Mrs. Turney spent Sunday at Mol
alla and called Oh Mr. Bruce who is farm ing
on his own place.

Mr. Carrow recently received a letter from
his son, Lyle, who left last spring w ith a num
ber of our boys to join the navy. He is on
Iboard one of the largest transports taking tJ.S.
troops abroad.
