In the second game our boys crowned themselves with a 17-14 victory. With no sign of fatigue, not cock-sure but determined, our boys entered into the game and paid their tributes to the Medford hoopsters. In this game almost all our players showed in the scoring. Amera led with 4 points, DePoe 3, I. Shoul derblade 3, S. Shoulderblade 3, Zundle 2, Pratt 2. Chemawa lost a close game to Silverton high on the Willamette university floor last Saturday evening. This eliminates Chemawa from the state tournament as well as the Willamette Valley Inter-scholastic championship. Both teams played far below their usual standard. Passes were wild and many fouls were made. The final score was close, however, each team had a lead at one time or another. The score ended 43 to 41. All our lads looked good, however, “Igloo” Demmert and George Pepion were in the lime light. “Igloo” won two falls from Sandy’s 225- pound “Tusko” with wristlocks and George Pepion used a large variety of holds to win over a tough op ponent by two falls. Underwood and Mike Pepion won by two falls each while Courtney put the skids un der his man by the decision route.
