SENIORS’ ANNUAL PARTY
T hose who were fo rtu n ate enough to be present at
th e A nnual S enior p arty last S aturday n ig h t are to be
co n g ratu late d . T h is annual affair is considered the
m ost im p o rtan t of the year, and the one given by the
C lass of 1920 w as no exception. Indeed, th is party
will stand o u t possibly as eclipsing all form er efforts,
for it was th o ro u g h ly planned and com plete in every
w ay. T h e large gym was a veritable la b y rin th of
hearts and cupids and blue b ird s (th e latter th e class
sym bol), h u n d red s and h u n d red s of them suspended
from overhead th ro u g h o u t th e hall, w ith darts, cupids
and p en n an ts on th e walls, all c a rry in g out a unique
valentine m otif. T h e d ain tin ess an d artistic beauty
of all decorations was strik in g and beautiful.
A program was staged in the n atu re of a “ T ake-off”
on the reg u lar F rid a y class program and m uch am use
m ent was created by the various local hits. In a d
d itio n there were choruses and vocal and in stru m en tal
solos. T h e refresh m en ts an d table settin g s were par
excellence and did full ju stice to th e p lan n in g of theclass
and capable execution of Mrs. Brickell and her d o
m estic science stu d en ts, who so kindly did th e catering.
Indeed, th e en tire evening was one round of pleasant
su rp rises an d enjoym ent. T h e p articip an ts will long
rem em ber th e 1920 Senior p arty as a great social suc
cess, in w hich th e class accredited itself so well and in
w hich M rs. A da B. R isser, senior teacher, was the
g u id in g hand.
