A letter has been received from E th el M ichelle sa y ing she will retu rn to school this fall T h e farm ers have finished plow ing at th e lake and started discing. It is p retty hard discing. T hom as H oaglin and Joseph G reer, prevocational engineers, are m aking a good show ing. T h e sew ing-room g irls have ju st com pleted a set of w ork dresses for M cBride H all girls. Roy N uckolls, a vocational g ardener, is busy ro u n d ing up th e potato lands. H e is ju s t about th ro u g h and ready for the potatoes. T h e little garden around the dom estic science b u ild in g is looking fine, but th e chickens will have to be w atched closely. L au ra T h e rria u lt, th e chichen care-taker, is d o in g fine. She has m ade a good trade w ith M r. W estley for a bushel of w heat for a dozen eggs. M organ, w ho has been for m any years agent at th e F lathead R eservation, M ontana, has been tra n sfe r red to th e Colville R eservation, W ashington. A card has been received from P etroleum B arrett, an ex -stu d en t of Chem aw a, sta tin g th a t he has enlisted in th e navy at B rem erton, W ashington, as a 2nd-class m a ch in ist’s m ate.
