Alvina Smith is now at her home in Loomis, Wash., where she is get­
ting along nicely.
Mr. Smith, of Hadlock, Wash., a brother of Mr. E. A. Smith and of
Mrs. Thompson, spent the Christmas holidays here.
Rev. Mr. Gill, pastor of the St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Salem, held
services for the students on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 11.
MissSkipton had a number of friends to a turkey dinner on Christmas
Day. The party was a merry one and the dinner was perfect.
It would be hard to imagine more beautiful or tasteful decoratious
than were everywhere in evidence at Chemawa to greet the eye on Christ­
mas.
During holiday week, Mrs. Evelyn Rhodes, after a visit of some length
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Woods, returned to her home in Tilla­
mook, Oregon.
Just before the holidays Frank Souvigner, who graduated from Che­
mawa several years ago, paid us a visit. Frank, we are glad report, is
getting along nicely.
Ernest Brewer, who now holds a clerkship at the Yakima school, spent
Christmas with relatives and friends in Chemawa. Ernest is now strong
and hearty again and is getting along nicely.
