Exploring the Other Side: A Look of Women in Soviet Culture will be the subject of a two projector slide show by Alice Tallmadge at 7 pm at the Eugene Public Library. The half-hour slide show, based on a women’s tour of the USSR last summer, will open the January meeting of Lane County WAND. The public is welcome. Symposium Responding to Challenge—Issues of Disability is the topic of a symposium today and tomorrow, sponsored by the Associated Students of the U of O and Circle K. It will explore and address issues of interest to both disabled and non-dis abled people. Today's events include a wheelchair obstacle course on 13th Avenue, between Univer sity and Kincaid Sts., from 10:30 am-3:30 pm. Local community groups will hold an information fair at the Erb Memorial Union, 10 am-4 pm. There will be a display of the work of Robert Travis, a visually impaired artist, in Lawrence Lobby, from 9 am-5 pm.
