Oregon’s legendary Senator Wayne Morse is profiled in a 13-minute documentary by local independent producers Steve Christiansen and Jerry Jof fee. This history of Morse’s career and political philosophy was researched by Diana Abernathy. The feature will be aired on Front Street Weekly, Thursday. May 19, on Channel 7, at 9 pm. Announcements Organically Grown, Inc., a local farmer’s fresh produce cooperative, is looking for market gardeners to raise small cash crops to sell through the co-op. Creative Partnerships Linking Business and Child Care, a confer ence sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Central Lane County, is scheduled for May 31 at the Valley River Inn. The confer ence will take an in-depth look at employer-participant child care and the role of business in employees’ child care needs. The conference will feature afternoon workshops which will provide practical information on costs and benefits to companies and their employees. Among the scheduled speakers are Senator Bob Packwood and Eleanor Clement Glass, child care management con sultant from Seattle, Washington. The conference is being co sponsored by the Junior League of Eugene, United Way of Lane Coun ty and the Eugene Commission for the Rights of Women. Subscription publi cations are Artists Notes Newsletter (especially for visual, performing, .and literary artists) and Art News letter (for LRAC members and arts supporters). The Lane County .Visual Artists Slide Bank, Perform ing Arts Resource Files, and Arts Resource Library are services main tained for artists and the general public in the LRAC office. Artsline Services are partially sup ported by City of Eugene Room Tax Funds. Although not all are new, several have been extensively revised and updated in the past year, the Arts Council reports. This spring is the first time all have been actively marketed and promoted together.
