The Oregon Repertory Theater
Youth Academy will be offered by
Jane Van Boskirk and Bonnie
Cohn for children ages 7-11, 11
am-noon, and ages 12-15, noon-1
pm on Saturdays. The cost is $50
(discount for returning students).

The EMU Crafts Center (UO)
begins its winter crafts workshops.
Several different photography,
woodworking, ceramics, stained
glass and jewelry classes are of
fered, as well as weaving, spinning
and dying, quilting, basketry, felt
making, drawing, paper crafts,
calligraphy, picture-framing, bike
repair, silkscreen and more. Chil
dren's workshops are offered in
ceramics, woodworking, drawing
and bike repair. The Craft Center
has workspace and tools in these
areas. It's a great place to learn a

SCORE (Service Corps of Retired
Executives) offers free consultation
and seminars on all phases of busi
ness management to new and esta
blished businesses. They offer ad
vice on such things as cash flow,
marketing, setting up a new
business, and obtaining SBA
(Small Business Administration)
loans. SCORE members are volun
teers, coming from a wide variety
of business backgrounds with
many years of personal experience.

there Mon-Fri, 10 am-noon, and

The Eating Slim Weight Control
Program is a new scientifically
tested program. It consists of 16
one-hour classes spread over 20
weeks. Classes aid participants to
relearn eating habits and develop
an individualized weight control
plan in a small group setting. It
starts Jan 31 and costs $55. Call

needed for a luncheon to honor 21

Lonnquist's class. It lasts for 9
weeks and is designed to reveal
and explore of the real you. It is a
small class with emphasis on in
dividual attention. You can expect
to compile specific, individualized
information that can be used for

will take place on Tuesday even

port group for ex-smokers who
want to stay off cigarettes will

support to maintain this not-so

electricity workshop oriented to
ward actual construction of a small
