New rules governing licensing and
use of bicycles on UO campus will
be topic of a public hearing at 3 pm
in EMU Room 101. Under the new
rules, all faculty, staff and students
who use bicycles on campus must
register them with the Office of
Public Safety and attach a univer
sity-issued license registration tag to
the bike. Copies of the new rules are
available for public inspection at
President's office, 110 Johnson Hall,
ASUO, and the reference desk of the
UO library.

recognize outstanding artists and
to advance film and video as signi

A silent auction of more than 60
photographic prints is being held
now through Dec 12 by the Photo
graphy at Oregon Gallery at the
UO Museum of Art. Among those
who donated works are Ansel
Adams, Edna and Wynn Bullock,
Brett Weston, Marsha Burns and
Olivia Parker as well as Ted
Orland, Rosanne Olson, Willie
Osterman and Bernie Freemesser
of Eugene. Proceeds from the auc
tion will be used to bring noted
photographers here for exhibits,
lectures and workshops. The
