R Q START YOUR DAY AT THE COFFEE CORNER Eugene's only locally roasted coffees—by the cup or by the pound SOUTHTOWNE 28th & OAK FIFTH ST MARKET y Sth & HIGH THE COFFEE CORNER Happy Hour Review Following a long and exhausting week, the idea of sharing "happy hour" with friends and co-workers was irresistible. So. a little ragged and weary, we ven tured into the basement lounge of Jo Federigo’s in the Granary Building on East Fifth Ave. Anxious to get away from it all, the privacy and coziness of the little concrete cubicles seemed just right. Our pleasant and congenial waitress confirmed our suspicion that anything and everything could be had at two for the price of one. For the three of us, that meant two fresh peach daquiris (large and delicious) and two Heinekens (served very cold) for only $4.50. Then to our pleasant surprise came individual servings of hors d’oeuvres, served to us at our table. Two kinds of cheese, a tomato wedge, and can taloupe—our spirits and bodies were being nourished. Soon followed a second plate of tiny hot egg rolls in a sweet and sour sauce. Very tasty! Then two more (strawberry this time) daquiris. Sigh! Relaxed and refreshed we exited past the covered baby grand piano. reminder that live jazz music was also part of relaxing at Jo Federigo's (See this week's Music Bulletin, pp. 4-5). Happy Hour at Jo's runs from 11:30 to 7 pm every weekday, with hors d'oeuvres from 5:15 to 6:45. Jo's also offers a midnight two-for-one special. Sunday through Thursday.
