Opening Central Oregon Partnerships for Youth (COPY), a program of the Deschutes County Sheriff ’s Offi ce, prepares volunteers to become mentors for children with an incarcerated parent. On Saturday, September 21, COPY will off er an orientation/ training class. Th is six-hour class covers program policies, how to establish a mentor relationship, the impact incarceration has on families, and communication skills. World’s Children Speaker Th e Sisters High Desert Chorale will begin rehearsals for Winter/ Christmas concerts on Monday, September 23.
