Wednesday, October 24, 2018 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon Former resident co-stars in TV show A premier of a fall TV show featuring a former Sis- ters resident is being shown at the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Hall community room. Jenny Boyd, daughter of former mayor and local busi- nessman Brad Boyd of Euro- sports, is co-starring in a new TV show, “Legacies,” on a major network this fall. Boyd grew up in Bend and Sisters. She has been acting since age five in productions in Central Oregon. Ten years ago, she moved to London to pursue her acting degree. Out of hundreds who auditioned for the three-year program at the prestigious London Acad- emy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), she was one of 24 who got in. She gradu- ated three years ago and then moved to Los Angeles. Since then, she has starred in the two feature-length films. Legacies is her first foray into network TV. Legacies, a spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals,” storyline is about the descendants of powerful vampire, were- wolf, and witch bloodlines. It takes place at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. According to Wikipe- dia, “The school provides a haven where beings such as vampires, witches, and were- wolves can learn to control their supernatural abilities and impulses.” Boyd plays Lizzie Salz- man, a witch. A character description says Lizzie is a “mean girl, where underneath bubbles a darkness that can- not go unaddressed.
