Wednesday, November 1, 2017 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon Restoring Indian Ford Creek entertainment & EVENTS By Jim Cornelius News Editor For the past year, young people engaged with the Oregon Youth Challenge Program have been working with the Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District to restore natural conditions in sensitive riparian areas. Last Saturday, a crew of 46 plus four squad leaders were working in the meadow south of Barclay Drive near Sisters. “They do community ser- vice as part of their curricu- lum,” said Jan Roofener of DWSCD.
