Longtime Sisters residents Deri Frazee and Jennifer Seher have worked together along with several community volunteers to pull together the annual Sisters Community Thanksgiving Feast for the last three years. Sisters Community Church donates their location and the kitchen for the group’s use. Several local vendors have donated other items like food and linens. “It’s really a chance for people to come together,” says co-founder Deri Frazee. “I love that it’s a chance to socialize for those who may not have family close or may not want to cook.” Ray’s Food Place has donated turkeys; McDonald’s Wholesale, Mission Linen and several others have donated products for the group of dedicated volunteers to prepare. Community members and organizations have donated cash for other needs for the dinner as well. Coordinators will work with their team of volunteers to feed close to 100 guests. The meal is served Thursday, November 24 at Sisters Community Church from noon to 4 p.m. and all are welcome.
