The action kicks off on Friday the 28th with The Belfry’s annual Halloween Extravaganza with David Jacobs-Strain and the Crunk Mountain Boys. Pub opens one hour before the show, which starts at 8 p.m. David Jacobs-Strain is a fierce slide-guitar player and song poet from Oregon. He has performed several times at the Sisters Folk Festival and makes Sisters a regular tour stop. He’s known for both his virtuosity and spirit of emo- tional abandon; his live show moves from humorous, sub- versive blues, to delicate bal- ladry, and then swings back to swampy rock-and-roll. It’s a range that ties Jacobs- Strain to his own generation and to guitar-slinger trouba- dours like Robert Johnson and Jackson Browne. He will be joined by the always-sassy Crunk Mountain Boys who keep the crowds dancing and begging for more. Central Oregon’s self- appointed “Rock And Roll Border Patrol,” The Substitutes, will play a Halloween party at Hardtails Bar & Grill on Saturday, October 29, starting at 8 p.m. The Substitutes have been defending the right to rock since 1996. Rock- and-roll is what they do. It is all they do. This means you are always guaranteed to receive an undiluted dose of 100% organic, USDA Prime, gluten-free, range- fed rock-and-roll; with no unpleasant side effects or aftertaste. Bend electric blues artist Tommy Hogan will play at Sisters Saloon on Saturday, October 29, starting at 9 p.m. Hogan is a talented and thrilling guitarist, boom- ing, soulful, bluesy vocal- ist, a prolific national and international award winning songwriter whose body and soul exudes raw and authen- tic, talent and heart-felt soul, with an electrifying and Quality Truck-mounted Loaner Cars Deductible Assistance Windshield Replacement CARPET CLEANING Let the experts at the Fly Fisher’s Place set you up for safe and fun fall fi shing! 151 W.
