Eurosports hosts O’Sister featuring Linda Quon & Kim Kelley at the Food Cart Courtyard on the corner of Hood Avenue and Fir Street on Friday, August 19 at 5 p.m. At Angeline’s Bakery on Main Avenue on Friday, at 7 p.m., Hobbs the Band will celebrate the release of their CD. The show features a full horn section with Dave Van Handel, Jason Jackson, Travis Denmark, and Jim Goodwin. Admission is a $5-$10 sliding scale at the door; $10 gets you a digital copy of the album before it’s available to the public. All ages welcome. On Saturday, August 20, Jim Cornelius and Mike Biggers will play at Cork Cellars on the corner of Cascade Avenue and Pine Street, starting at 7 p.m. The duo serves up originals and songs from Americana lumi- naries ranging from Guy Clark and Steve Earle to Tom Russell and Townes Van Zandt. Hardtails Bar & Grill on Larch and Main continues to feature live music on their outdoor stage from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Keith Greeninger returns to Sisters for a solo acoustic performance at The Barn on Sunday, August 21, 7 p.m. Greeninger has been a regu- lar fixture at the Sisters Folk Festival and its song camps. Suggested donation; $15- $20. The Barn is located at 68467 Three Creek Road, about three-quarters of a mile south of downtown (take Elm Street). For information email captainconverse@gmail.com. Legendary multi-instru- mentalist and songwriter Darrell Scott will perform in a concert presented by Sisters Folk Festival at Sisters High School on Wednesday, August 24 at 7 p.m. For tickets and information visit www.sisters folkfestival.org. Hood Avenue Art will host “Jammin’ For Nepal,” an “empty cups” musical benefit for Ten Friends on Thursday, August 25, at 5:30 p.m., featuring local musi- cians in support of the Sisters- based nonprofit, which assists the people of Nepal. Buy a cup donated by local potters and fill it with free beer, soft drinks, and distilled drinks. Snacks and appetizers will be available. Bands to play are: Doug and Katie Cavanaugh, Brad Tisdel, Jim Cornelius and Mike Biggers, Bubba Clement and Margaret Wood, and The Love Puppies. Dennis McGregor comes out of his studio to make some music magic on the stage at Angeline’s Bakery on Friday, April 26. Dennis is promising an acoustic first set, and a sec- ond set replete with veterans of the Angeline’s stage. Cover is $5-$10. The Notables, a Bend swing band, will perform on Sunday, August 28, in the tent at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 386 N. Fir St. from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be no charge for the event. Donations will be accepted to support Warfighters Outfitters, a veterans support organization founded by vet- eran Brett Miller of Sisters. And just around the corner, September 9-11, is the Sisters Folk Festival, featuring artists from around the world and across the nation.
