Wednesday, July 13, 2016 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon Obituary Food Cart Garden hosts events hannah Carmelle Wagner November 29, 2000 — June 27, 2016 Our beloved Hannah died on Monday, June 27, at the young age of 15 years old. A daughter, sister, grand- daughter, niece, and friend, Hannah lived her short life to the fullest, excited about her future, with such a strong passion and love for her country, and politics. Dare we say if you ended up cornered in a room with dearest Hannah, you no doubt would have been over- whelmed with her intelli- gence, enthusiasm and inten- sity as she drilled you about your beliefs and values. And although the cir- cumstances of her death are horrific, Susan (her mother), Eric (her stepfather), and Dakota and Danika (her sisters), refuse to allow the evilness of how Hannah died to win, and instead want to share love, joy, and compas- sion with everyone touched by the life of our sweet girl. So please join us as we remember and honor our pre- cious Hannah, and celebrate the goodness of her short life here on earth, in a memorial service to be held either this Friday evening, or Saturday noon, with further details to be announced at: facebook. com/ericthomaswagner. 5 Our grief and suffer- ing go beyond description, but we put our faith, trust, and hope in a loving God, knowing, even as you read these very words, Hannah sits with Jesus, a smile and laughter like never seen or heard by any soul before in the heavens above. The Food Cart Garden at Eurosports has a variety of music planned for July and a new, free trivia night on Wednesday evenings. “Last year we started with Friday-night music from 5 to 7 p.m.,” said owner Brad Boyd. “It’s a more convenient time for families and anyone who’d like entertainment dur- ing dinnertime. Then, they can go off and enjoy any other Friday-night plans they have. The Food Cart Garden is hosting a weekly trivia night this year. “When we started out, David Staley, who co-owns The Lot in Bend, told us that of all the events that he has for his food cart venue, trivia night was the most popular. He encouraged us to try it out. We’ve been getting a bunch of requests to do it,” Boyd said. Sign-ups start at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, and participants can compete on their own or as a team of up to four people. At 6:30 p.m., fun questions from a variety of different cat- egories are asked. Scores are totaled and the winners are awarded prizes. The evening finishes up early – about 7:15 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages. The music is varied through the month. Boyd says, “We try to get a variety of music and perform- ers to meet everyone’s tastes.” July 15 Mark Barringer of Bend plays. He also has a strong Sisters connection. He is Thompson Guitars’ “Tone Tech” and an expert guitar player. According to Preston Thompson, Mark uses his deep experience and skill to check out all aspects of every guitar made to thoroughly test it for sound, resonance and quality. Mark brings these same qualities to his music: his skill at playing guitar makes him a “player’s player.” Jim Cornelius and Mike Biggers will play on July 22, offering an acoustic mix of their original songs and cov- ers of the greats of Americana music from Guy Clark to Steve Earle to Tom Russell. A Sisters resident of decades, Tony Lompa spends much of his summer as the fire lookout at Hinkle Butte. His guitar playing and grav- elly vocals have an ease about them as he effortlessly switches from Americana to covers to originals. He’ll play on July 29. Music is from 5 to 7 p.m. every Friday night; admission is free and the outdoor space at 223 E. Hood Ave. is dog- and family-friendly. Agenda Sisters City Council City Hall, 520 E.
