The 2016 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, all through downtown Sisters. “Infinite Stitches” is the theme of this year’s show and the 2016 poster created by Sisters’ artist, Kathy Deggendorfer. “Kathy’s work is iconic, and her work reflects all things Sisters,” says Quilt Show founder Jean Wells Keenan. There is a “Meet the Artist” event hosted by Stitchin’ Post on July 7, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and on July 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Quilt Show week kicked off on Sunday, July 3, noon to 4 p.m. with the 13th Annual Fiber Arts Stroll. More than 20 fiber artists shared their textile arts including quilts, weaving, basketry, fabric dying and much, much more. This is the most unique art stroll in Sisters — the artists are on hand demonstrating how it’s done and some even had a project you could try yourself!
