The names are requested to be honored at the Memorial Day Ceremony at Village Green Park, Monday, May 31. Memorial Day Ceremony All are invited to the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Village Green on Monday, May 30 from 11 a.m. to noon, presented by Sisters VFW Post 8138 and American Legion Post 86. Color guard will be the Redmond ROTC, with guest speaker Karl Baldessari, Ret. Coast Guard. A lunch of hamburgers will be provided after the ceremony. There is seating for up to 200; if you’re able to bring a chair it will help so nobody has to stand through the ceremony. For more info call Lance at 541-903-1123. Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser Bring family and friends to a traditional pancake breakfast at the Camp Sherman Community Hall on Sunday, May 29 from 8 to 11 a.m. Enjoy all-you-can- eat ham, eggs, pancakes, OJ and coffee. For more information call the library at 541-312-1072. DLT Walk + Hike series April-October, Deschutes Land Trust volunteer naturalists lead more than 120 free walks, hikes, and bike rides. Explore birds, wildfl owers, and geology at various protected lands in small groups. Registration online is required, and each outing opens one month prior to its date.
