The Bulletin reports that Erik Utter, who announced his resignation February 24, admitted to having a sexual relationship with another sheriff’s office employee in an interview with an internal investigator Feb 29. Utter announced he was resigning from the office two days after learning he was being inves- tigated. In a public statement after his resignation he said he was resigning due to a “mis- take” in his personal life.
