Traffic dispute leads
to firearms arrest

Deschutes County Sheriff’s
Office, and Oregon State

block of S.W. PumiceAve.
toadisputethatstartedover
twovehiclesspeedingupand
down the street. During the
disputeaphysicalaltercation
tookplaceanditwasalleged
asuspectpointedahandgun
atthevictimbeforeretreating
into2812S.W.PumiceAve.
Officers surrounded the
residence and were able to
detain six people, includ-
ing Logan Jansen, 23, from
Klamath Falls. During the
initial investigation Jansen
was arrested and taken to

to good shooting and solid

lead at the close of the first
quarter and entered the half
with a commanding 30-14
advantage.

11. Sisters overcame the
third-periodlull,chargedback
inthefinalquarter,andbeat
theTigersby15.
Eight different players
scored points in the game,
andatotalteameffortearned
thewin.
Coach Rand Runco said,
“Weareagoodteamandwe
really played together. We
keptourturnoversdownand
were 78 percent (14-for-18)
from the line. It was a big
teamwin.”

Menacing. Officers applied
forandweregranted search
warrants for the residence.
During the execution of the
search warrants, officers
locatedthehandgunbelieved
tohavebeenusedbyJansen.
Officers also located a
short-barreled shotgun and
arifle.Informationgathered
during the investigation led
officers to believe Mathew
Morkert,23,fromRedmond
and a convicted felon, had
beeninpossessionoftherifle
and shotgun. Morkert was
later located at 1515 N.W.
FirAve.#18,Redmond,and
taken to Deschutes County
Jail for probation viola-
tion, felon in possession
of a firearm (two counts),
and unlawful possession
of a short-barreled firearm.

camebackinthethirdquarter.
Atthestartofthefourth,
theOutlawshadnarrowedthe
gaptothree.Sistersoutscored
theFalcons18-9inthefourth
towinbysixpoints.
Hayes Moore, Steen
Johnson,andKeeganGreaney
all had great performances,
andcombinedfor43points,
and assists were spread
amongthetrio.

guys did a great job on the
