Learn how to motivate reading at home and get answers to questions about Common Core standards and the Lexia program. Paige Bentley-Flannery will discuss programs at the library as well. Open Studio at Caldera On Saturday, January 30 from 1 to 3 p.m., the community is invited to enjoy conversation with the Artists in Residence at Caldera at Blue Lake. Free, and no RSVP is required. Habitat Build Slideshow At the Sisters Library at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, Jack and MaryAnne McDonnell will share slides and stories from their Habitat for Humanity Global Village Build in Kyrgyzstan last fall. Mr. SHS Pasta Feed The annual fundraising pasta feed for the Mr. SHS Pageant will take place at Sisters Community Church on Sunday, February 21 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Cakes created by the contestants and escorts will be auctioned off, and there will be an auction for three hours of service provided by the contestants. For more info call SHS at 541-549-4045. Register for Little League Early registration for Sisters Little League is taking place now through February 29 at Sisters Park & Recreation District, and includes a free skills camp ($60 value!). Cost of registration goes up $10 after February 29; fi nal deadline is March 16. Umpires, coaches, volunteers and sponsors are also being sought.
