Driver killed in Highway
20 wreck near Sisters
Driver fatigue is cited as
a cause of a fatal single-vehi-
cle wreck on Highway 20 on
Friday, July 24.
According to Oregon State
Police troopers and emer-
gency personnel responded
just before 6 a.m. to the report
of a single-vehicle crash off
the roadway on Highway 20
near milepost 98 just west of
Sisters.
Initial information indi-
cates a 1996 Honda was
traveling eastbound on
Highway 20 when it left the
roadway and struck a tree.
The vehicle came to rest on
its side. Upon emergency
crews arriving, they found the
driver, Troy A. Crabb, age 35,
of Blue River, dead.
“It appears fatigue is a con-
tributing factor to the crash,”
OSP reports. OSP was assisted
by the Deschutes County Fire
Department and the Oregon
Department of Transportation.
