18 Wednesday, April 1, 2015 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon R e a l E s t a t e S p e c i a l R e p o r t DeJa Vu Interiors opens in Sisters Jim Cornelius News Editor Folks looking for quality “experienced” furniture that’s in excellent shape and a good value have a new resource in Sisters. So do folks who want to sell their used furniture without the hassles and risks of handling the transaction themselves and having some- one come to their home to pick up a couch. DeJa Vu Interiors has opened in the Outlaw Station shopping plaza, just to the east of Ray’s Food Place. DeJa Vu is a family busi- ness established in Bend a dozen years ago. The fam- ily established the new 6,000-square-foot consign- ment store in Sisters to better reach out to the communities of Sisters Country, including Black Butte Ranch and Camp Sherman. Manager Landon Rogers explained how DeJa Vu works: “It’s all consignment. We do a 60-40 split with the customer.” If an item does not sell in 90 days, the price drops in half. If it still doesn’t sell, the consignor has the option to take the item back or have DeJa Vu donate it to a charity. DeJa Vu will pick up items for consignment for free, and purchasers can have delivery for $45 to $55. All items must be in excellent condition with no rips, stains or tears and no tobacco smoke residue. The furniture on hand at DeJa Vu is classy, and a lot of it doesn’t show its “expe- rience” much at all. Many items are so well-taken-care- of that they look brand new. The showroom is full of couches, dressers, din- ingroom tables, bedroom furnishings, lamps, art and more, all nicely displayed and easy to move around. It’s big enough that there is room for more. DeJa Vu also offers brand- new mattresses. One of the unique features photo by Jim Cornelius Landon rogers helped launch a new branch of the family business in sisters. of DeJa Vu is a real estate staging service. They will provide all of the furniture and set a price for stag- ing a home to sell.
