Club will present all military

FREE fearing Screening
Sisters Park & Recreation
District is partnering with
All American Hearing of
Redmond to provide free
hearing screenings on Monday,
January 19 from 11 a.m. to 2
p.m. at SPRD. You may drop
in between those hours, or
schedule an appointment in
advance at 541-548-5335.
Smoke Alarm Campaign
On Saturday, January 24 from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Sisters-
Camp Sherman RFPD will
conduct door-to-door smoke
alarm checks between W. St.
Helens. and W. Black Crater
avenues, including parts of S.
Oak, S. Ash, and S. Elm streets.
Firefi ghters will canvas the area
to ensure that residents have
working home smoke alarms,
and install them if needed,
free of charge! If you live in
the area and have questions,

Bingo, Community Dinner
and Silent Auction
All are invited to join the
Outlaws for a fun, family night
with Outlaws Together Bingo
on Monday, January 26 at
Sisters High School. Doors
open at 5 p.m. for dinner,
sponsored by Sisters Park &
Recreation District (just $2 a
plate!), and bingo starts at 6:30
p.m. Eleven games are $15,
which includes Bingo Blackout
with the grand prize of a 32GB
Apple iPad Mini with retina
display! There will also be a
silent auction. All proceeds go

Annual Art Exhibit &
Artists’ Reception at the
Sisters Library

Class for Mentoring Kids
with Incarcerated Parents
Central Oregon Partnerships
for Youth (COPY), a program of
the Deschutes County Sheriff’s
Offi ce, prepares volunteers to
become mentors for children
with an incarcerated parent.
Mentors commit to spending a
few hours a week together for
a minimum of one year. On
Saturday, January 17, COPY will
offer a 6-hour training class (no

Preventing Child Abuse
On Monday, January 26 from
5:30 to 8 p.m. at Sisters Park
& Recreation District, KIDS
Center presents “Darkness to
Light – Steward of Children,” a
program for adults, giving them
tools to help recognize and
prevent child abuse. The
program is free, and includes
food and childcare. An RSVP

Sisters Library, a free open lab
is offered where you can get

Family Fun Story Times for
