William Tower, son of Gordon Tower, fruit grower of this vicinity, recently underwent a serious operation on his throat. The operation was performed at a Salem hospital. Dashiel, an old pioneer of over 70 year of age is ready to do hi part in tho present war with Germany and has signified hi willingness to enlist in the IT. H. army should hia services be so desired. Mr. Dashiel was small boy when the Mexican war broke out in 1847 and saw regiments from his home etate, Kentucky, leave for the front. Several other aged residents of Dallas, members of the local G. A. R. post have offered their services to their country. Mrs. Marv E. HaUock Buried Funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Marv E. Hallock wore held in Dallas. Monday morning.
