Murphy, resides there, Brunk will begin an Investigation Into COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE THE PENITENT I A KY Meeting at the stale penitentiary at 9 o'clock tomorrow the committee ap pointed from the legislature to probe the affairs of the prison will begin its work. Members of tho committee have stafed that the Investigation should be carried on for a period of at least two weeks, and it is expected that merely a fair start will he made tomorrow. The committee of investigation Is composed of Senators Ilollis and Ragsdalo and Representatives Lewel llng, Smith and Uiughlln. The plan to bo pursued in making the inquiry may bo to occupy tho Saturdays and Sundays until the close of the legis lative session. Not only will the man agement of the prison, as carried on by Superintendent Lawson, be gone In to thoroughly, but tho prison policy of tho governor will be taken carefully under consideration. The governor himself has requested the most search lug investigation that the time at the disposal of the committee will allow.
