The paving Is being done by the MonUigue-O'Rellly Co., and a sub contract was let to M. I.ynott to do the grading over the rocky hill. The sub-contractor has the most difficult piece of grading that has been under taken In the city lately and for the time employed, about six weeks, he has done remarkably well. He Is an old railroad contractor and bis ex perience In that line has been of great service to him In expediting this work. For considerable of the distance solid rock was encountered but this was hcndled easily by the contractor, who has about completed his contract Mr. I.jDott has a contract for grading on the extension of the Oregon Electric south of the city and has also done a considerable of the grading on the Tillamook railroad.
