Light northeasterly winds. Change Of program at the Wexford tonight. Every cent above the actual expense will be turned over to the firemen's fund. llldwcll Hajden & Co. Of Portland, have finished paving on Slate street and Asylum avenue. Tills makes about a mile that the company has paved In Salem this year. Ilenellt Tonight The second firemen's benefit will occur at the Wexford tonight. As has been stated, the five theaters of Salem have each donated the pro ceeds of one evening to the firemen's fund. Tills Is a very worthy cause and deserves your patronage. i Firemen s Benefit j -AT j :: t X I The Wexford TO-NIGHT I OTEEMa ABSOLUTELY ENDS : STOMACH MISERY OR DYSPEPSIA The question as to how long you are going to continue a "Sufferer from Indigestion, Dyspepsia or out-of order Stomach Is merely a matter of how soon you begin taking some D'a pepsin. If your stomach Is lacking In di gestive power, why not help th? stomach to do Its work, not with drastic drugs, but a re-enforcement of digestive agents, such as are na turally at work in the stomach. People with weak stomachs should take a little Diapepsfn occasionally, and there will be no more Indiges tion, no feeling like a lump of lead In the stomach, no Heartburn, Sour Risings, Gas on Stomach or Belching of undigested food, Headaches. Diz ziness or Sick Stomach, and, besides, what you eat will not ferment and poison your breath with nauseous odors. All these symptoms resulting from a Sour, Disordered Stomach and Dyspepsia are generally relieved In five minutes after taking a little Dia pepsln. Go to your druggist and get a ",0 cent case of Pape's Dlapepsin now, and you will always go to the table with a hearty appetite, and what you eat will taste good, because your stomach and Intestines will be clean nnd fresh, and you will know there ore not going to be any more bad nights and miserable days for you. They freshen you and make you feel like life Is worth living. o Sheol at The firaiid "Dante's Inferno" which had such a successful run In Portland for two weeks and which caused more com ment than anything In the moving picture line for years, will be at The Grand Friday and Saturday, matinee and evenings. These pictures are copied from, or at least suggested by the Illustrations of Dante's Inferno, j drawn by the prince of artists, Gus tave Dore, and they are certainly thrillers. As one man in Portland remarked to a friend. The next time ' some one tells you to "go to h 1", j you go nnd see Dante's Inferno, and j see what the Invitation amounts to. Hefore I uuiug iu uie iiuuuwe rii pany 10- I night, be sure to go to the Wexford i theater. The firemen's benefit will be on nnd the boys need your 10 cents. An entire change of program tonight. Cone n Visiting Miss Ruby Cornell, of the state In corporation department, has gone to Portland and Seattle for a two weeks' vacation. Miss Cornell has been In this department since the time of Its inauguration, and has seen the In corporation laws of the state grow up from their infancy. Miss Cornell Is especially efficient In this office as she Is familiar with all of the work. The force Is somewhat handicapped by her absenc but wish her every pleasure on her trip. The Dm miner- Evangelist Billy Williams, "the Drummer Evangelist," came in today from Woodburn, where last night he gave his noted Jecture, "The last romp with the tiger," In the Interest of a dry town. Tonight he begins a three weeks revival meeting in the Jason Lee Memorial Methodist church, cor ner North Winter and Jefferson streets, Fair ground car. The sub ject tonight will be "The Revival." Mr. Williams was here two years ago and spoke to men only at the Y. M. C. A. Mr. Williams asks the help of all Christian people at this meet ing. o - Drowned in n Jiir. The three vaudeville acts are each peculiar in itself and people laugh they can't help It. Hardy & Norman are probably the favorites this week. This team of stars brings the prettiest girl and the most unique Juggling seen In Sa lem for many months. O'Dell & Hart show acrobatic skill and were decid edly favorites with the audience last night. The Malcoms are all they claim to be, "Laughr.iakers," and not a few in the audience pronounced them best of all. Notwithstanding other attractions In the city last evening, including banquets, shows, and meetings, the audience was large for Monday night, demonstrating the popularity of this leading playhouse- The win jning quality of the present bill de serves a large hearing which it is sure to get Detore the cnange of pro gram Thursday night. o JSC STATISTICAL si: RAILROADS.
