Complaints for several weeks have been rolling Into the sheriff's olllce that Jette was doing a wholesale liquor business, Sundays. With the view of determining the truth of the complaints to arrest him htm If any violations were found. Deputy Sher iffs Needlmm and Smith yesterday af ternoon made a visit to Champoeg. They found the place wide open and tilled with customers. Roldly walking up to the bar each ordered a drink, and Jette In his obliging way net out the glass and the bottle and both drank. Then they Informed him that t hey were officers of tho law nnd placed the saloon man under ar rest.
