Abe Reuf will be taken to San Quentln I prison- next Tuesday. Nothing now seems to prevent the order of Judge Lawler being carried out on that day. Reuf today gave up hope of escap ing the penitentiary, in view of the decision of Judge Lawler that the prisoner would not be given any furth er stay, even to attend to his private affairs before entering upon his lng term. "As for myself I do not care," Reuf said. "I could face the sentence with equanimity, but the blow to my aged parents is very hard. But I shall make the best of it, even though at times I would not care if I were dead, and at an end of it all." W. J. Gallagher, Mayor Gaynor's assailant, is a physical wreck today and au thorities at the New Jersey state prison, where he has started to serve his 12-year sentence, predict that death will prevent . him from serving even half his term. .
