Think ing him a burglar, James O'Dono frlo, a gardener residing on Twenty sovonth avenue, In Rainier valley, early this morning shot and Instant ly killed a man who has not yet been Identified. O'Donotrlo was awakened shortly after midnight by his wlfo, who said that somo one was trying to gain entrance to tho house. Loading a shotgun, O'Donofrlo says he got up, opened a kitchen window, and fired four times to frighten the Intruder away. Again hearing the man moving about, O'Donofrlo fired four more shots, and then, catching sight of tho man, fired once more, tho charge striking tho supposed burglar in the left breast. Tho pollco say tho dead man, who was about '54 year's old, was evident ly intoxicated at tho tlmo he jwas killed. No weapon was found on his person.
