Judge Griffin declared that ho knows thnt Gates only paid $7 a dozen, tho market price. Had It not been for Kittle Gates, Swiftwater Dill's foutrh wife, tho story would havo never been dispelled. She Is now suing him for alimony money and attorney's fees. Gate's attorney says that Gates Is n poor man, and thnt his reputation as n millionaire was tho result of tho story published about his buying tho crnto of eggs ut ?2 apteco to show his affection for his dancehnll sweetheart. Swiftwater Dill was ordered by tho court to pay his fourth wifo $150 a month alimony, nnd to gtvo her $2000 for suit money. Gates de clared that when ho camo out of Alaska In July he hnd $7000, and Mora Crook, his third divorced wlfo, got $2500 under n former order of court; William Wray, his lawyer, re ceived $2000 for fees; $400 went to his fourth wlfo for expenses, to gether with $200 for doctor bills. Ho pleaded that ho had but $800 loft, and that ho needed nil that to ouuit Himself ffcr nnother trln to Alnska. Judge Griffin paid little at tention to the minor's plea of pover ty, and ordorod him to pay Kittle tho nbovo-numod amount. Deafness Cnnnot Do Cured By local applications, as they cannot reach the diseased portion of the ear. There Is only one way to cure deafness, and that Is by constitu tional remedies. Deafness is caused by an Inflamed condition of tho mu cuous lining of the Eustachian Tube. When this tube Is inflamed you have a rumbling sound or imperfect hear ing, and whon It Is entirely closed, deafness Is tho result, and unless the Inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to Its normal con dition, hearing will bo destroyed forever; nine cases out of ten nro caused by Catarrh, which is nothing but an Inflamed condition of the mu cous surfaces.
