Ark , "I suffered severely from nil sorts of nche and piltn, U'ltll Hie following May, when I read one of your pamphlets, treating on female disease I wrote to Dr. Pierce for advice, although I thought surely 1 would die, as our physician told mo I was more liable to die than to get well- your fatherly advice caused my health to be restored. I took five bottles of Dr Pierce's Favonte. Pre scription, three of 'OoIJen Medical Discovery" and three vials of Pellets,' together with your, other remedies, and I am now able to do nil my work." Weak and sick women are Invited to consult Dr. Pierce, by letter, free, nnd so obtain without charge or fee the advice of a specialist upon diseases peculiar to women. All correspondence is held as strictly private and sacredly confidential. Addres3 Dr. R. V. Pierce, Buffalo. N. Y. Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription is a safe and reliable remedy for the cure of womanly ills. It establishes regularity, dries weakening drains, heals inflamma tion and ulceration and cures female weakness. FiutB. STATE CROP REPORT The crop report for this week shows unfavorable weather conditions in Western Oregon. The weather during last week was variable. Tho 2Sth and 29th wero very hot, after which it turned cooler and good rains foil In tho eastern sec tions, but none of consequence os curred hi tho western part of the state. In tho Wlllametto valley tho drought continues, nnd all late crops are suffering and badly need rain. The fall grain harvest has just begun, nnd It will become general In about a week. The crop is good nearly every where, except In tho Grand Rondo and Powder River valleys, where It was badly damaged by tho frost of last week. The frost in that section was unusually severe, and, besides damag ing grain In the head, it cut all tender vegetation to the ground, and Injured considerable fruit. Spring grain is doing poorly, especially in tho Wil lamette valley, and In Southern Ore gon, where It is heading so short that fears are entertained that many fields will have to bo cut for hay. Good pVogress has been mndo In harvesting tho hay crop, much of which Is now safely secured. Tho yields aro generally reported light, especially timothy, which' la a nun ber of localities turned out to be al most a total failure. Vetch yielded well, and clover was but slightly be low the average. Hops, corn and po tatoes need more rain; potatoes havo suffered tho most. Hops, although still green, havo not their usual vigor at this season of the year, and! tho growers do not expect a full crop. Some damage to alfalfa by grasshop pers is reported, but otherwise all crops are remarkably free from Insect pests. Apples continue to give prom ise of good yields, and- it is expected that a fairly good crop of peaches will bo picked. 0 Catarrh Cannot Be Cured with LOCAL APPLICATIONS, as they cannot reach tho seat of the dis ease. Catarrh Is a blood or constitu tional disease, and In order to cure It you must take Internal remedies. Hall's Catarrh Cure Is taken Internal ly, and acts directly on the blocd and mucous surfaces. Hall's Catarrh Curo Is not a quack medicine. It was pro scribed' by ono of tho best physicians In this country for years and1 is. a tcsA ular prescription.
