Hon. John H. Scott went down today, and will deliver a good roads talk this afternoon. The people of the valley are com mencing to realize that It will be nec essary to agitate the subject beforo practical results can bo obtained, and they propose to hear discussions from men like Judge Scott, who has made a study of the entire question. The e3tato consists of real and personal property valued at $2951.30. Judge Boise granted a divorce to M. A. Wilcox from her husband, J. F. Wilcox, on the ground of cruel and In human treatment. Tho partition suit of Frances M. Harvey vs. Eleanor P. Cranston, was heard yesterday afternoon, and taken under advisement until tomorrow morning. Tho will of the late Sarah Adams was admitted to probate today. Lor lng K. Adams was named executor without bonds, and tho estate is esti mated to consist of real and personal property of tho value of J4000. It is devised as follews: House and lot on Court street, being part of lot 5, block 5, Salem, to Lor lng K. Adams, a step son of deceased. The Panama canal commissioners arrived from Colon this morning, after an inspec tion of the canal zone. Commissioner Grunsky said the board of commis sioners had accomplished the object of their visit, but had nothing to add to tho statement made by Engineer Parsons last week. A New Law Firm. Anderson M. Cannon, a prominent attorney, formerly at Bedford and Al bany, 'has formed a partnership John A. Carson and Lorlng K. Adams, and the firm will be fcnown hereafter as Carson, Adam's & Cannon. Mr. Can non has had extensive experience in legal matter3and, as tho firm of Car son & Adams were compelled to se cure more help to properly caro for their large practice, they selected Mr. Cannon as an associate.
