At the old car barn, on East Stato street, thoro was a quiet meeting of about 20 of tho solid Republicans of tho sixth ward, and a good ticket was put In the flold for dolegatos to the county convention. Alderman B. C. Churchill was made chairman, and the following dolegatos were named: E. G. Churchill, A. D. Wheeler, A. E. Parker, E. T. Molvin, John Knight P. R Shafen, a F. Royal, Jos. Schlndlor and R. L. Drager. This Is Mr. Culver's homo precinct and tho delegates wero Instructed to vote for and do everything In tholr power to secure that gentleman's nom ination for sheriff at.tho coming coun ty convention. Two Insane Patients. Mrs. Cora Sanderson was brought to tho asylum from Cobs county yos torday afternoon; for treatment She Is a resident of Bandoit, and 30 years old. Her husband, P. P, Sandorson, was hold to pay $10 per month to the stnto fpr her support during her stay in tho asylum. Luolla Olson, If Tho Dalles, was also brought down.
