After the team work was concluded, Claude Gatch, the newly elected Grand Master of the Oregon I. O. O. F., mule a short iiunroruotu address touching on Odd Fellowship in gen eral but especially speaking of the work of the Rebekahs. Mr. Gatch's remarks were warmly applauded. An elaborate banquet was afterwards spread and at midnight the Salem delegation returned home having spent a most enjoyable evening, tne memories of which will ever be ionoiy cherished. The local Rebekahs speak In the highest terms of their enter tainment by the Independence lodge. Sacred Heart. The closing exercises of this pioneer Institution of learning, in our city, will take place on Friday, of this week, at 2:30 p. m. While its object has been to educate young ladies, the past year boys have been taken In and the result, has proven very satisfac tory.
