LaLond, a fanner, aged 40 yean, residing at Frultlaud, six miles cast of Salem, died quite sud denly this morning of heart trouble. Mr. LaLoutf wnn harrowing a field all the forenoon, Mrs. LaLond being In the city shopping. When she re turned home Mrs. LaLond found her husband lying on the bed, helpless and speechless. She immediately called a neighbor, Mr. Rowdcn, who II res near by. Ho at once camo to the house of Jlr. LaLond but tho unfor tunate man expired within a few moments. Jlr. Bowdcn said ho saw Jlr. LaLond harrowing about ten minutes before ho was summoned to the house by Mrs. LaLond. A messenger bad been sent to Salem for Dr. Untdsliaw but before the doctor had stalled for the home of Mr. LaLond, n second messenger ar rived announcing that the unfortu nate man had expired.
