The subjects appeared suspicious; police determined no criminal activity was occurring. 7:56 a.m., Seaside police sta- tion: An individual came in to register as a sex ofender. 4:44 p.m., Police station: A wallet found by a helpful citizen was turned into the police station and collected by its lawful owner. 5:50 p.m., 400 block S. Evans, who is a Seaside Fire De- partment volunteer, takes the rank of patrol oficer. 7:25 p.m., 1000 block 24th Street: A woman ighting and causing a disturbance was trespassed from the property for disturbing the peace. 10:29 p.m., First Avenue: A woman reported missing turned up on her own accord. Sept. 19 Seaside woman dies in highway crash EO Media Group A Seaside woman died Friday, Sept. 30, after her car crashed on Highway 53 about 10 miles southeast of the city. Connie Kay Henry, 59, was apparently driving her silver Oldsmobile coupe southbound on the highway around 4:30 p.m. when she drifted off the shoulder and lost control, Oregon State Po- lice said. The car overturned and Henry, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pinned underneath, according to state police. The crash closed the high- way for about four hours OREGON STATE POLICE A Seaside woman died Fri- day, Sept. 30, when her car overturned on Highway 53. while investigators recon- structed the accident. The state police were as- sisted by Medix, the Hamlet Volunteer Fire Department and the state Department of Transportation. 4:18 a.m., 1200 block S. Wahanna: Police respond to a report of unwanted people on the premises. The suspects are located and told they are indeinitely trespassed. 5:01 a.m., 800 block N. Holla- day: Oicer contacted subject who claimed ownership of a vehicle being stripped down for parts. 8:04 a.m., 400 block S. Roo- sevelt: Caller reports a male subject attempting to sell her a puppy. Police are unable to locate the individual who appears to have left the area. 10:10 a.m., 1100 block N. Roosevelt: Caller reports a man sitting slumped over in his vehicle. Police are unable to locate the subject. 1:05 p.m., Seaside police station: A person came in to register as a sex ofender. Sept. 20 4:07 p.m., 1100 block Broadway: An 11 year old boy reported missing when he did not show up to meet his grandfather was located by police at a school event taking place at the middle school. Grandfather and boy were reunited. 4:08 p.m., 400 block S. Roos- evelt: An assault was commit- ted. No further information was available. Sept. 21 3:20 p.m., Beach and Avenue G: Keys discovered on the beach were turned in to the police department. 5:18 p.m., 300 block S. Roo- sevelt: Pallets taken without permission from Rite Aid were tracked down; the person who took them thought they were free to take away. She said she would be returning them shortly. 7 p.m., 12th and Shore Terrace: A shotgun shell found during a routine police patrol of the woods was turned over to the range master for destruction. Sept. 24 5:56 p.m., 800 block 6th Street: An oicer took infor- mation regarding an alleged dog bite. 6:57 p.m., Avenue A: A miss- ing person was reported. 8:56 p.m., 1200 block S. Roosevelt: Caller reports an unsavory person loitering in the area. Police checking the area found no one itting the description. Sept. 25 6:28 p.m., Avenue A and Franklin: A person reported a violation of a court-ordered stalking order of protection. 8:58 p.m., 3000 block Sunset Blvd.: Criminal mischief in the 3rd degree was reported. 11:08 p.m., 900 block 4th Av- enue: Caller reports an upset person causing a disturbance. Subject tells police he is upset due to the failure of a past relationship. He is advised to calm down and go back inside the residence. Sept. 26 Oct. 4 5:45 p.m., 1600 block S. Franklin: Caller reports large dog at large. Police check the area and ind the dog is safely contained in its own yard. 10:22 a.m., Avenue G and The Prom: Caller reports a vehicle with slashed tires and a broken rear window. Police respond- ing ind out the owner of the vehicle knows about the crim- inal mischief but chose not to report it; says he will move the vehicle as soon as he can. Oct. 1 12:15 a.m., 400 block 2nd Ave: Caller reports suspicious subjects hanging around a parking lot. Police determine they are guests checking into a hotel. 2:29 p.m., 600 block S. Roosevelt: Police obtain property left behind at Taco Bell including a bag with drug paraphernalia. The clothing is at the police station in the property room. Oct. 1 2:25 a.m., 100 block Broad- way: A group of female revel- ers in town for a bachelorette party are warned by police to be less loud or they will be cited for unnecessary noise. 10:24 p.m., N. Promenade: Police respond to a call about a person playing with a knife. The knife wielder admitted he had been brandishing it, but not in a threatening manner. Oct. 2 6:16 a.m., 1200 block S. Holladay: A single page of four counterfeit bills was found behind the Chevron station. The paper was wet and may have been on the ground overnight. As there are no suspects, the investigation has been suspended. Oct. 5 12:25 a.m. 1100 block N. Roo- sevelt: Caller reports an unlaw- ful lodger on their property. Police arrive and ind a person outside of their parked vehicle, watching a movie. The person is advised they are on private property and told to leave. 12:07 p.m., 2000 block Fern- wood: Police are requested by senior services to conduct a welfare check on an elderly man with a large abscess on his jaw. Medix was requested and the man was transport- ed to Providence Seaside Hospital. Police advised senior services about the man’s living conditions which smelled of urine, rotted food, and dog feces and a lot of trash. 12:55 p.m., 200 block S. Roosevelt: Police respond to a report of a man running through a parking lot wearing only socks, underwear and gloves. The man told police he was not feeling like himself and was given a courtesy ride home. Oct. 6 12:18 a.m., N. Promenade: Police respond to a report of a sighting of a missing person. The subject disappeared prior to police arrival. 8:35 a.m., 1900 block N. Holladay: The vice principal of Seaside High School notiied police that a student in pos- session of chewing tobacco, a substance banned on school grounds, was “very disrespect- ful” and wanted a report made regarding the student’s behav- ior. The juvenile department of the police department has been notiied to review. 9:22 p.m. 200 block Broad- way: Caller reports a person who has lingered “longer than necessary” in a public re- stroom. The subject was gone before police arrived. 10:38 p.m., 400 block Second Ave.: Police are notiied of a suspicious bone found on the beach. The bone was deter- mined to have belonged to a chicken. 9:14 a.m., Seaside police station: A sex ofender came in for their annual register. Oct. 3 N.
