One small boy, 10 years of age, In the Merrill community Is being paid for milking seven cows, and is buying War Saving Stamps with th pro ceeds. Altho no Junior Red Cross has been organized, several of our young girls are putting in their spare minutes knitting squares for tbe comforters. E. M. Perry returned Saturday from a two months visit to Kansas, where he has been visiting his par ents. Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Perry have Just returned from a motor trip thru Cal ifornia. Charles Anderson, who was injured so severely on iiis ranch, four years ago this coming June, died at Horn brook, Calif., and his body was brought to Merrill for Interment.
