Almost every Item In the report shows a healthy condition ot schools of the county. The rural schools in particular have made treat progress In the last few years. The school houses are nearly all modern, and with one or two exceptions measure up to the state standard. The salaries are b etter than ever, and the teachers possess a higher grade ot quallAcatlons than ever1 before.. The rural teacher receives more on the average than .the assistant in the city schools. In this way the rural schools are able to attract the better class ot teachers.. With better buildings, better equip ment, a well prepared corps of tear hers, more school interest, the next year should show still greater progress.
