The fair boosters regard It aa espe cially desirable that there be a fair thla year for the reason that the sea sen la favorable to practically all fruits, vegetables aad grain. There has been much more rain thla year than mat. and the truck gardeners arc baring better success, both In aaalRy and variety of what they raise than heretofore, as reported la this paper yesterday. Morta will be made thla year to avoid a repetition of the losses caused last year by people entering the fair without paying admission. At that time the grounds were Insufficiently fenced or patrolled, aad while a count of the grand stand, especially on the principal day, showed a crowd big enough to make a well-filled till, the tally of people and the tally of money were so far apart that the manage ment got busy to figure tha discrep ancy. The result waa that General Manager Bishop ascribed to non-pay ing nttendaata a loss of something In the neighborhood of $"1,000. The fair this year will be managed by Caleb T. The Kit Carson Buffalo Ranch Wild Weet show arrived In the city at 4:16 this morning, and unloading was started at once, so that every thing was la readiness for the blc show this afternoon long before th time of the parade. The circus train or 17 cars came here directly from Montague, where a performance was given last night. Will the eiperts with the circus be able to conquer "Whits Pelican" and V'Cheyenne," the two Klamath county outlaws? This was a question agitating the minds of those who could not get away this afternoon to attend the performance.
