J. Swingle has been under the weather for a few days, but Is recovering. The spring horse rodeo is complet ed, and nearly all tho horses have been brought In. Ira Hanson has rented his ranch to tho Pucket boys for a period ot threo years. Mr. Hanson Is moving iU fam ily to the Sacramento Valley, where he has purchased a tract of land. John Ackley Is laying track on his logging railroad, and will soon be shipping logs to his sawmill In Klam ath Falls. Oliver Sly Is hauling poles for the Siskiyou Electric Light and Power company. The poles will be shipped Keno to Midland and Ady by boat. Ren Kearns aad family are going to Portland and other points on a visit. The work on his electric power plant Is still going on, and when he gets It completed thero wilt bo sev eral pumping stations locatod on tho Klamath River near Keno. There Is a fine prospect for a bumper crop this year. Last Sunday J, Grows brought a man over the mountains to Keno. The man gave his name at the hotel as K Evans. He brought with him a mo tor cyclo, nearly new, Evans claimed that he was expecting a check at the Keno postofflre, but It had not come. He did not have enough money to pay Mr. Orows, so he borrowed some mon ey of H. Snowgoose to be paid tho next day, and turned over to Mr. Snowgoose his motorcyclo for secur ity, Monday came, and no check. Evans went to bed In tho burn In com pany with a darkey. The darkey says that Evans got up about 10 o'clock and went out, and nevor returned. Next morning Evans and the motor were both gone, and havo never been beard of since.
