Thla affair wu ualque from the fact that everything was on the order of patent medicine, and the large nnmber et mnti who attend ed the entertainment were arrayed la medlclaal decoration. Among the various gamei and paetlmee of the evening a gneeitng conteet called forth a great deal of merriment. It being the taik of each to gneee what medicine waa represented by those preeent. This being one of the wars of serving the paach, n each person who an nounced hi ailment received one bot tle of the fluid, and created no little amount of nmusement among the guests, following the evening's en tertainment there was terved a light supper. The supper consisted of sandwiches and salad tor tha first course, and following thla was Ice cream and then coffee. The sugar was In the form of capsules, thus add ing to the originality of the occasion. Mr Deltell went through tho process ot describing the virtues of what each represented, and his allegory on these proved to be amusing as well as unique. Dr. P. M. White gare a short address, which waa followed by the awarding of prltes to the different winners. Those who received prltes wcro Mrs. Site, Mr. Goslter and Mr. Wattenburg. The entertainment was a pronounced success, and when the clock struck IS, at which time the guests departed, It was with the ex pression that they had had a most en joyable evening. The Ewauna took the party at a rat tling speed as far as Teeters' Land ing, and then returned to the city by way ot the Island.
