ATTRACTING MANY Earl Franz, manager of the Hood River Garage, says that automobile prices are back to normal. Mr. Franz says: "I have noticed that so many people consider car prices are not back to normal, but if a person will give the matter a little thought, he can arrive at the opposite. Take the Chevrolet, for a good example. It sold before the war at Hood River for $625. To day this same car retails for $t7.ri, or an advance of $50. Out of this comes the advance in freight rates, which have almost doubled since that time, and the government tax that is added to each car. These alone bring the car down to its pre-war price. "On top of all this today's Chevrolet is a vastly different car than it was at .i . i j - ...... . me oiu pre-war price. Wim ZZ im-I provements the new Chevrolet offers j far more for the money than any car in this nrice class before. In fact i when compared with the Chevrolet of pre-war days, a person at once comes to the conclusion that cars at today's prices offer more for the money than at any time during the history of the car industry.
