HEAVY RECEIPTS DAG MARKET Conch Stagg of th University of Chicago squad whitewashes a pig Hkln, which Is called the "ghost ball," for his team to uso during late evening practice. PORTLAND, .Nov. C necelpta for the week have been as follews: Cattle, 1C82; Calves, 14; hogs, 1C32; 8bceji,.48G7. Tho heavy receipts of cattle havo had a tendency to make tho market slow and draggy. Only choice steers can bring as good an offer as C.C5. and the market can be called from 10 to 15 cents off. Not much feed er stuff In evidence, but what there Is for the market finds ready sale. Prime heirers are bringing $5.85 to $G and extra good cows $5.50 to $5.75. Calves weighing 150 to 200 pounds havo brought $8.50 to $8.75 and 200 and 300 pounds, $7.50 to $S.50. Receipts or sheep havo not been extra heavy but still enough to sup ply demand. Prices continue about steady. Lambs have formed the bulk of tho receipts and sold at $5.50. Hogs havo made tho biggest drop of tho season. Monday's awlno sup ply sold at $S.50, while tho extreme top Friday was $8.00, mostly con tracted stuff, which If sold on the open market could not have brought more than $7.75. Of courso tho present liquidation Is rosponBlblo for tho sensational decline. Made With C.ottolene Saratoga Chips mad with Coitolenc are never greasy, as are those made with lard. The reason for this is that Cottolcne neats to about 100 degrees higher than either butter or lard, without burning, quickly forming a crisp coating which excludes the fat Your Chips, therefore, are crisp, dry and appetizing.
